Description of Benefits
|
• |
Death/Permanent Disablement Benefit
Pays the principal sum in the event of
accidental death and up to the amounts stated in
the Table of Benefits for Permanent Disablement
following an accident in the Named Vehicle. The
benefit is also extended to cover the proposer
24 hours a day irrespective whether he/she is in
the Named Vehicle or not.

Funeral Expenses
Pays the Insured Person's next of kin or legal
representative the stated sum in the schedule in
the event of death of the driver and/or
passenger as a result of accident in the Named
Vehicle.

Medical Expenses
Reimburses expenses incurred for treatment as an
out-patient at any registered clinics or
hospital as a result of accident in the Named
Vehicle. This is also applicable for outpatient
surgery expenses incurred without the need for
the insured to be hospitalised as well as
traditional medical treatment.

Hospital Income Benefit
Pays a daily cash allowance as stated in the
schedule for each complete day of hospital
confinement up to a maximum of 150 days per year
whilst the insurance is in force to the driver
and/or passengers following an accident in the
Named Vehicle provided that such hospitalisation
occur within 24 hours of the accident.

Double Indemnity Benefit for ICU
Confinement
Pays the double indemnity as stated in the
schedule for each complete day of hospital
confinement in the Intensive Care Unit(ICU) up
to a maximum of 150 days per year whilst the
insurance is in force to the driver and/or
passengers following an accident in the Named
Vehicle provided that such hospitalisation occur
within 24 hours of the accident.

Surgical Bonus ( 'Cashless' Hospital
admission facility)
Reimburses the medically reasonable and
customary charges incurred for surgical
procedure performed during hospitalisation at a
hospital following an accident in the Named
Vehicle provided that such hospitalisation occur
within 24 hours of the accident. This includes
hospital room and board, surgical treatment and
procedure, hospital services and supplies.
Follow-up treatment up to 31days after discharge
whilst the insurance is in force and subject to
the eligibility of the benefit or whichever
shall exhaust first. Prosthetic appliances,
implants and artificial limbs are excluded. |
Note: Children between age 15 days to 15 years
are entitled to 50% of the benefits as stated above.
Adults age 70 (basing on next birthday) and above
are excluded from cover.
